Collabro

After the success of last year’s huge sell-out theatre tour, Collabro will be back on the road with their tour ‘Road to the Royal Albert Hall’.

Collabro, the world’s most successful musical theatre group, met in 2014 for their first rehearsal at a London pub, just a month later went on to rouse the whole of Hammersmith Apollo into a standing ovation during their first ever public performance of ‘Stars’ for the Britain’s Got Talent judges. Having triumphed in their Semi-Final heat with over 63% of the votes, they then won the overall competition with one of the biggest majorities ever. This subsequently led to them joining Simon Cowell’s label Syco, and hence becoming label-mates with the likes of One Direction, Little Mix, Susan Boyle and Il Divo.

In the three years since the competition, Collabro have released a Number 1 debut album “Stars”, followed by “Act Two” which peaked at Number 2 in the charts in the summer of 2015. They have performed at the Royal Variety Performance, twice on Britain’s Got Talent and are now enormously successful internationally.

The boys performed to 7 million people at Soccer Aid 2016 to critical praise and garnered excellent press reviews for their first performance as a four-piece followed by a performance at the 2016 BBC Proms in the Park. A Summer Tour supporting the legendary Cliff Richard preceded their own sell-out 29 date Headline Tour of the UK at the end of 2017. March 2017 saw the release of their highly anticipated third studio album -‘Home’- a collection of stage classics, fan favourites and also their first original song ‘Lighthouse’, reaching Number 7 in the UK Album Chart. This record is receiving exceptional critical reviews. 2018 saw Collabro embark a sold-out tour of Asia and perform as special guests on Barry Manilow’s UK Tour.

Free At Last @ The Railway, Nantwich View map - The Railway Permanent link

Free At Last

Free at Last were formed in 1982 under the name Uncle Sam. Uncle Sam featured three of the current members, Jak (guitar/vocals), Shane (guitar) and Mick (drums) until Dave joined on bass in 1994.

Uncle Sam's set contained a few original songs plus covers by such classic acts as ZZ Top, Pat Travers and of course Free. All the guys in the band have always had a great passion for the music of Free, so in 1996 when deciding to create a tribute there was only one choice who it would be.

Since then they have gone from strength to strength headlining at Bill Flynn's Free Convention and playing many of the top venues around the country, universally agreed to be the best Free and Bad Company tribute around.

With the original Bad Company reforming to promote their Anthology 2cd set, Paul Rodgers releasing solo albums and joining Queen as their singer for a world tour, it only serves to prove sustained interest in what the band are trying to recreate.

So for a show of 70's style red hot blues influenced, soul stealing ROCK the choice must be FREE AT LAST!

Now for 2018 the guys approached Sammy to get this act off the ground again - this has affected man banter in the van but not affected the show!!!

The dials continue to be cranked to 11 but with a brand new set to entertain the masses, expect tracks from Queen & Tina Turner to Pat Benatar & Pink.

The Penguin Incident @ The Imperial, Crewe View map - The Imperial Permanent link

The Penguin Incident

The Penguin Incident are a rag tag bunch of musicians from the Northwich area and who were once described by Oliver Reed as the musical equivalent of the A-Team. Still on the run from the CIA for crimes they did not commit (it wasn’t them, honest!), The Penguin Incident have become Rock Soldiers of Fortune, playing gigs in pubs and clubs to fund the cause and to pay for their ever expanding bar tab...

The Penguins play a blend of both modern and classic rock covers, with the emphasis on having a good time.

Please don’t be put off by all the hype around the legendary party antics of this five piece band, who make Motley Crue, look like the New Seekers. Although they like to party, most of the recent reports about wild drunken debauchery have been slightly wide of the mark! Robert Plant when asked to comment on the band famously said “who?"

What they are saying about the Penguins:

Why hasn’t Mr Beckett the guitarist from the mighty Penguin Incident featured on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine yet? It’s a disgrace; it’s what the people want! - F Rossi, Margarita Nursing Home, Surrey

My Mum booked a band called the Penguin Incident for my 100th birthday party, I can’t recommend
them highly enough, Great vocalist, loads better that the guy who used to be in my band back in
the early 70s! Rock n Roll!
- Sir Jimmy Page, Rocksville

A band called the Penguin Incident played my local pub last night, these guys can really rock, their version of “Whole Lotta Rosie” was epic, I really impressed with Paul`s solo, don’t miss them when they visit your town - Richie Blackmore, Toadstool Hollow, Elf-land

I finally got to see the Penguin Incident down at the Bowling Green last weekend, what a crackin night, me and my mate Dean (Martin), pulled a couple of local gals, got hammered and listened to some great music. I got to meet Mark, the bass guitarist, after the show, What a top bloke, and a what a great bass player! Great pint of mild in the Green too, cheers Tim, - Mr Frank Sinatra, Los Angeles, CA

I asked myself the other day, what’s happened to all the great rock drummers in the world? Then I saw Kerrie from the impressive Penguin Incident, the future is in good hands. I will sleep well tonight - N Peart, A Mountain, Canada

These boys really know how to party; I think I had a great night - O Osborne, Birmingham, England

The bass player is hot, anyone know his number? - Miss K Minogue, Ramsey St, Australia
